Communications Volunteer


Description:

The City of Fort Collins Information Technology department is looking for a volunteer to help bridge the gap between tech and people! As an IT Communications Volunteer, you'll collaborate with a dynamic IT team to craft and distribute impactful messaging across email, Microsoft Teams, and SharePoint while also partnering with the city's Communications team to amplify IT's voice across the organization. This is a fantastic opportunity to build real-world experience, strengthen your resume, and make a meaningful difference by keeping city staff informed, engaged, and connected. Located at 215 North Mason, this flexible role requires just ~10 hours per week and welcomes anyone with strong communication skills and a basic understanding of technology.

Responsibilities & Activities:
  • Collaborate with the Information Technology team to draft, edit, and distribute departmental communications across email, Microsoft Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Partner with the Communications and Public Involvement team to support and align messaging for city-wide communications on behalf of IT.
Time Commitment:

10 hours per week or as available
