Transfort Technology Volunteer

Join the City of Fort Collins as a volunteer and play a key role in supporting both our TransFort and IT teams! This is a hands-on opportunity to dive into the world of technology and public service, where you’ll assist with preventative maintenance on vital equipment and help keep our systems running smoothly. Volunteers will also contribute to asset management efforts—ensuring our technology inventory is tracked, organized, and ready to serve the community. This position is perfect for someone who loves problem-solving, wants to learn more about IT operations, and enjoys making a tangible difference in how our city delivers services every day. Responsibilities & Activities:

Preventative maintenance and confirmation are federal requirements for TransFort to follow. IT volunteers are needed to assist in keeping TransFort federally compliant.

Volunteers will work together with TransFort operations and the Information Technology team to review preventative maintenance on bus and other TransFort technology.

Time Commitment:

10 hours per week or as available

Location:

Primarily the TransFort Maintenance Facility off Trilby. Some outside work may be required along the Max Guideway as well as at Transit Centers.
