Cemetery Court Ordered Community Service
- Description:
The Cemetery Community Service Volunteer assists the City of Fort Collins Parks Department in the maintenance of our historic cemeteries. This position involves hands-on outdoor work that contributes to the beautification of our cemeteries, creating a meaningful experience for community members visiting loved ones.
- Responsibilities & Activities:
Volunteers will assist City staff with the general upkeep of the cemetery grounds, including but not limited to:
- Trash removal
- Horticulture maintenance including planting, pruning and watering
- General landscaping tasks such as mulching, weeding, etc.
- Other special projects as needed
- Time Commitment:
- Peak Season: March through October (although projects are available during the off-season)
- Available Days: Monday through Friday
- Staff Support Hours: Staff support is available between 7 am and 3 pm
- Licenses, Certifications, and Safety:
While we welcome volunteers of all skill levels, prior exposure to landscaping tools, horticulture maintenance and general turf care is helpful.

Volunteers will be assigned to one of the following locations:
- Grandview Cemetery: 1900 W Mountain Ave, Fort Collins, CO 80521
- Roselawn Cemetery: 2718 E Mulberry St, Fort Collins, CO 80524
