Parks Court Ordered Community Service
- Description:
The Parks Community Service Volunteer assists the City of Fort Collins Parks Department in the maintenance of our parks, trails and open spaces. This position involves hands-on outdoor work that contributes to the beautification of our parks, helping to ensure these areas remain clean, safe and enjoyable for our community.
- Responsibilities & Activities:
Volunteers will assist City staff with the general upkeep of parks grounds, including but not limited to:
- Trash removal
- Horticulture maintenance including planting, pruning and watering
- General landscaping tasks such as mulching, weeding, etc.
- Other special projects as needed
- Time Commitment:
- Peak Season: March through October (although projects are available during the off-season)
- Available Days: Monday through Friday
- Staff Support Hours: Staff support is available between 6 am and 3 pm
- Licenses, Certifications, and Safety:
While we welcome volunteers of all skill levels, prior exposure to landscaping tools, horticulture maintenance and general turf care is helpful.

- Location:
Volunteers will be assigned to one of our 7 community parks or 43 neighborhood/pocket parks. If you have an interest in volunteering at a specific park, please let us know!
