There are 34 unique departments that are powered by the City's network of volunteers.

In 2022, more than 5,500 volunteers contributed over 78,000 hours to civic engagement.

The City of Fort Collins hosts 25 unique internship experiences for students and community members.

The City of Fort Collins is a Malcolm Baldridge award winning organization and a two-time certified Points of Light Service Enterprise Community.

The City of Fort Collins (FC) Volunteer Program is designed to creatively engage people and their unique talents. When talent and passion are working together, the results are amazing. With that aim, the City promotes volunteer involvement to improve services and create community.

NextGenServe is a City volunteer service club for youth ages 13-18 that focuses on growing leadership skills and civic engagement in the Fort Collins community. Youth Volunteers learn about a variety of career paths and work alongside trained City staff in various settings, including Parks, Natural Areas, and the Gardens on Spring Creek.
