Description:

We are looking for volunteers to help staff the Media Center at the Senior Center.  

One person is needed to work the Monday shift for 2 - 3 hours.  You will be able to choose the time you can work on that day in coordination with other volunteers in the Media Center, although mornings are preferred.  We are asking for a 1 year commitment to this position.

A second person is needed to be a substitute library attendant.  This person will fill in for others during their normal shift times when they are ill or on vacation.  You must be flexible with your availability and willing to step in on short notices at times (you will be given ample notice for vacation fill ins).

Work will include receiving new books and puzzles and labeling them appropriately.  You will also restock books and puzzles.  You will also be a resource to visitors to the center when asked for assistance.  Training will be provided; no prior experience is necessary.

 

Time Commitment:

2 - 6 hours per week with a commitment of one year of service.
