VOLUNTEER JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Healthy Homes Educator, you are an important and valuable member of the Healthy Homes team. Healthy Homes Educators are responsible for conducting indoor air quality assessments in community members homes with the goal of improving the health and wellbeing of residents. Additional opportunities and responsibilities are outlined below.
LOCATION
- Off site (community members homes and neighborhood events)
- 222 Laporte Ave
- Virtual opportunities via Zoom
TIME COMMITMENT AND AVALABILITY
- 12-15 hours of comprehensive training (held in mid-September)
- Average at least 2 assessments per month (upon completion of training)
- Assessments typically last 1.5-2 hours
- Assessments are scheduled based on days/times that work for community members and volunteer educators
ADDITIONAL OPPORTUNITIES
- Participation in developing and planning continuing education events
- Assist with Healthy Homes Workshops and community outreach events
