Volunteer at the ninth annual NoCo Urban Homestead Tour benefitting the Gardens on Spring Creek and Loveland Youth Gardeners! The mission of this event is to educate the public about a self-sustaining lifestyle that includes growing your own produce, raising bees and backyard animals, season extension, food preservation, re-purposing materials and much more. This year's tour features seven local homesteads in Fort Collins, Loveland and Windsor that demonstrate how these rewarding practices can be achieved in urban backyard settings. Homestead Helpers: Volunteers will assist at each homestead by checking tickets at the entrance, directing visitors and monitoring visitors as they explore the property. Volunteers will rotate being seated, standing and walking around the event. Please contact us if you would like to be seated the entire shift. We will be holding an hour virtual Zoom training on Thursday, July 28th from 4-5PM. The link will be emailed to all volunteers. The training will be recorded for any volunteers unable to attend. Homestead assignments and addresses will be communicated the week of the event.
Volunteers Registered: 25Please wear either a Gardens on Spring Creek purple shirt or a plain white t-shirt if possible. Nametags will be provided upon arrival for your shift. Please bring a water bottle and any snacks you would like during your shift. Volunteers may use the homesteads restroom, but they will not be accessible to the public.
