Where: Poudre Trail. Park at the tennis courts at Lee Martinez Park and follow the paved trail west until you come to a small beach on the north side of the trail. When: Saturday, September 2, 2:30pm - 5:00pm. Registration highly suggested, but not required. Only registered participants will be notified if program is canceled or postponed. Program Description: All ages welcome! Use dip nets and collecting trays to discover what lives beneath the surface of the Cache la Poudre River. Biologists will be on hand to help identify your finds. All dip netting equipment is provided. Accessibility: Program takes place almost entirely on a paved bike trail easily accessible to any mobility devices. Up to 1 mile, round trip. Bathrooms available near the Lee Martinez Park playground. What to Bring: Dress appropriately for the weather forecast. Bring sunscreen; a hat; closed-toe, sturdy shoes; and water to drink. This program takes place in the river, so bug repellent or long sleeves are highly suggested. Bring water shoes and towels for river fun! Waders will be available at the program site.
Maximum Participants: 200Volunteers: Please mark registered participants off the list with a check mark. Any participants that do not show up can be marked with an "NS" next to their name for "no show". Please wait until 5 minutes after the start of the program to allow anyone who was not registered to join. Only do this if the program has room because others did not show up. Folks who are not registered must wait to the side until all registered participants have been checked in. You can make your own "first come, first serve" list of walk-up participants at the bottom of the participant list to keep track of people who are waiting.
