Fri 12/08 - Sat 12/23 @ 04:15 PM to 08:30 PM

Special Event

Thank you for your interest in volunteering for Garden of Lights! This event features a half-mile loop of perennial flower beds, huge sculptural flowers, grapevines, butterflies, a holiday village, and other favorite garden creatures – all constructed entirely from holiday lights. Volunteering is a great way to experience this whimsical, twinkling winter wonderland while also giving back to our community. You are more than welcome to sign up for overlapping shifts to stay for the entire evening. Training is provided at the start of the shift. Volunteers must be at least 14 years of age to volunteer alone. Those under the age of 14 may volunteer with a guardian. All outdoor positions will have heaters, access to hand/toe warmers, and indoor break locations. Snacks and hot beverages will be provided. All outdoor volunteers may be assigned to another role if needed. • Lobby Greeter - Monitor exit and flow in the lobby. This position will be indoors and can be seated. • Ticket Scanners - Scan tickets at the gate. Must have attended/or will attend scanner training. This position will be outdoors. Trainings are on: 11/30 from 5 to 6PM | 12/2 from 10 to 11AM | 12/7 from 4:30 to 5:30PM • Wayfinders - Help with directions and making sure guests stay on pathways. This position will be outdoors. • Santa Helper - Assist with Santa by interacting with guests and monitoring line. This position will be outdoors. • Dog Troupe Assistant - Assist with The Sugar Plum Furries dog troupe (select nights only). This position will be outdoors.
