Come learn with us! Dinner is provided. Some of the most amazing women of our time had unimaginable setbacks, which they turned into comebacks and became champions of our time. They represented diverse backgrounds and found mediums to channel their diversity into serving the many. Mother Teresa, despite her Catholic roots, volunteered to serve not just Catholics, but Buddhists, Muslims, and Hindus alike. Wilma Rudolph was an African American born into poverty and contracted Polio at age 5. She overcame her vicissitudes, to channel her talents into becoming the fastest runner on earth. These women demonstrated attributes of diversity, that are vital to becoming successful as volunteers, especially in serving a dynamic and vibrant city as Fort Collins. Preethi's very short one and a half hour seminar shows how to polish your skills as volunteers so as to improve your own life as well as to touch others with greater impact. Preethi is the author of six books including "17 Women who Shook the World," of which she will have copies at the seminar. She is also the winner of Stephen King's Haven Foundation Award, given to one author. She will inspire you through this must see presentation.
