Get Involved: Senior Center

We have an opening for a leader of the Donut Make You Wonder discussion group that meets on Friday mornings from 10 - 11 the 1st 3 weeks of every month. Training will be provided.

The leader will prepare discussion topics ahead of each meeting as well as pick up the donuts for the meeting.  Topics include current subjects and related personal experiences.  Matters related to religion and politics are avoided to ensure comradery.  Meetings end with a few shared jokes.  

Leader will present the topics and keep the discussions moving.  An outgoing, friendly person (must be 30 yrs or older) will fill this position nicely.  You must also be able to commit to this volunteer opportunity for an extended period of time.

We are looking for volunteers to help staff the Media Center at the Senior Center.  

One person is needed to work the Wednesday shift for 2 - 3 hours.  You will be able to choose the time you can work on that day in coordination with other volunteers in the Media Center, although mornings are preferred.  We are asking for a 1 year commitment to this position.

Work will include receiving new books and puzzles and labeling them appropriately along with restocking books and puzzles.  You will also be a resource to visitors to the media center when asked for assistance.  Training will be provided; no prior experience is necessary.
