Asphalt Art Installation

Wed 08/14 - Sun 08/18 @ 08:00 AM to 04:00 PM

Program  -  15 +

REGISTRATION NOT REQUIRED to attend this event, but is required to volunteer. This is a volunteer event, not an event for the public to attend. If you are interested in volunteering, please sign up for a volunteer shift and don't register as an attendee. We want you to be a part of Fort Collins' largest asphalt art installation to date! Join FC Moves and artist Jess Bean as we paint the Canyon, Magnolia, Sherwood intersection adjacent to the Lincoln Center. You will put paint to pavement, so wear your finest paint clothes. We will provide eye and hand protection. Volunteers can expect to bend, kneel, and stoop for the duration of their volunteer shift. We will have food and refreshments available. This opportunity is for those that are 15 and older. Asphalt art is lower in cost and a quicker option for traffic calming infrastructure that makes our streets safer for those that bike, walk, and roll. For this project we will be extending the existing curbs, and painting the space inside of the extensions. You can find out more details about asphalt art, and this particular project on our website: https://www.fcgov.com/bicycling/asphaltart
