Natural Discoveries (Community Program)

Where: Meet at Lee Martinez Park. Travel 1 mile along the Poudre River Trail, Activity Description: Enjoy a leisurely walk in search of birds, animals and flowers. Observe the dance between the Poudre River and landforms. Catch a glimpse of the animals and plants that share our neighborhood natural areas, like squirrels, wildflowers, nests, etc. Develop a deeper understanding and appreciation for the Poudre River. Accessibility: 1 mile paved, easy. What to Bring: Dress appropriately for the weather forecast. Bring multiple layers for both active walking and standing still. Bring sunscreen, a hat/sunglasses, closed-toe, sturdy shoes, and plenty of water. Binoculars are helpful for identifying birds. People of all abilities and disabilities are welcome to participate in all programs and we are happy to make any appropriate accommodations.
