Natural Areas After Dark - Mixed Ages
The location: Riverbend Ponds Natural Area - Prospect Road Parking Lot. 2856 East Prospect - between Sharp Point and Summitview Roads. Program Topic: Light up the Night - Did you know that Fort Collins is home to one of the largest firefly populations in Colorado? Come see what makes it such a great place to live. Walks are offered on or near the full moon with lots of natural light—no need for flashlights! Dress warmly, wear closed-toed walking shoes, and bring water to drink. Bring insect protection. The program will include a 1-2 mile walk on unpaved trails, easy. Masks will be optional for all vaccinated participants and volunteers. We kindly request that unvaccinated or partially vaccinated individuals wear a mask while indoors or when within 6 feet of anyone not in their household group, including the volunteers. Waivers will be required to be signed either online or in person upon arrival. If you or anyone in your household is experiencing symptoms associated with COVID-19 (cough, difficulty breathing, fever, chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, or new loss of taste/smell, etc.) do not attend this program.
