Natural Areas After Dark

This is a limited event. If registration fills, check out one of our virtual events or look for the next event the following month. You are welcome to attend the event at any time between 8:30p.m. and 10:30p.m. Dress for cold temperatures. Pets are not permitted at Fossil Creek Reservoir Natural Area. REGISTRATION REQUIRED. Please bring binoculars if you have them! It will make star viewing easier. There will be several astronomers present with telescopes and eyepieces that can be cleaned in between family groups for safety. We will also have a video display set up that will allow a high quality, no-contact way to view objects in the night sky. For weather updates, visit the NCAS website at NoCoAstro.org. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, masks and physical distancing will be required by any participants and volunteers during this program. Program requirements are subject to change as CDC and County guidelines are updated. Additional instructions will be sent by e-mail to those registered prior to the program. Waivers will be required to be signed either online or in person upon arrival. If you or anyone in your household is experiencing symptoms associated with COVID-19 (cough, difficulty breathing, fever, chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, or new loss of taste/smell, etc.) do not attend this program.
