Natural Areas After Dark

This is a limited event. If registration fills, check out one of our virtual events or look for the next event the following month. Please arrive on time. Dress for cold temperatures. Pets are not permitted at Fossil Creek Reservoir Natural Area. REGISTRATION REQUIRED. Please bring binoculars if you have them! It will make star viewing easier. Participants will be split in two groups. Each group will have an opportunity to look at multiple objects as seen through the telescope via video monitor to allow for distancing. A short overview of visible constellations will also be given. For weather updates, visit the NCAS website at NoCoAstro.org. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, masks and physical distancing will be required by any participants and volunteers during this program. No more than 20 people will be present at the program, split into 2 groups. Program requirements are subject to change as CDC and County guidelines are updated. Additional instructions will be sent by e-mail to those registered prior to the program. Waivers will be required to be signed either online or in person upon arrival. If you or anyone in your household is experiencing symptoms associated with COVID-19 (cough, difficulty breathing, fever, chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, or new loss of taste/smell, etc.) do not attend this program.
