An Introduction to Nature Photography: Challenges and Techniques

When: Thursday October 2nd, 6:30-8 p.m. Where: 1745 Hoffman Mill Road - NIX Farm Natural Areas Office Activity Description: This program will offer an introduction to nature and wildlife photography with special emphasis on photographing species in the natural areas. The first part will deal with some of the challenges that nature photography presents including lighting, motion, and distance. The second part will deal with some of the camera options that are available and an introduction to the variety of lenses available. The program will conclude with technical information on photographing different species including iso settings, shutter speed, focal settings and aperture settings with specific information on still species and birds in flight. Practice your skills at the Photography Hike on October 17th at Riverbend Ponds! Sign up separately on Engage. Accessibility: Nix has mobility access.
