Natural Discoveries - Mixed Ages

Where: Coyote Ridge, meet in the parking lot When: Saturday, March 16, 9:00a.m. - 11:00a.m. Program Description: Did you ever wonder where Colorado wildlife hides from the cold and snow? What about snakes, and frogs, and mice? We will talk about these and maybe spot a few hardy critters who don’t mind the wintry weather. This will be an relatively easy 2-mile round trip hike on an unpaved surface, from Coyote Ridge parking lot to the cabin and back (one large hill in each direction). Be aware that a restroom is not available until the cabin area. Dress in layers, avoiding cotton fabric. Warm, water repellant footwear with good tread is recommended. Accessibility: Program includes walking out and back, roughly 2 miles on a wide, flat, dirt road with one big hill each way. No shade. Restroom not at trailhead, but 1 mile down the trail. What to Bring: Dress for the weather and bring water to drink. Wear sunscreen and closed-toe, sturdy shoes. Binoculars if you have them. ___________________________________________________________________ People of all abilities and disabilities are welcome to participate in all programs and we are happy to make any appropriate accommodations.
