REGISTRATION REQUIRED. This is a limited event. If registration fills, check out one of our virtual events or look for the next event the following month. Please arrive on time. Dress warmly and bring a blanket or chair to sit on. Meet in the parking lot. Pets are not permitted at Fossil Creek Reservoir Natural Area Please bring binoculars if you have them! It will make star viewing easier. Volunteers from the Northern Colorado Astronomical Society provide telescopes and share their knowledge about the stars, planets, galaxies, and more. Participants will be split in two groups. Each group will have an opportunity to look at multiple objects as seen through the telescope via video monitor to allow for distancing. A short overview of visible constellations will also be given. For weather updates, visit the NCAS website at NoCoAstro.org. Masks will be optional for all vaccinated participants and volunteers. We kindly request that unvaccinated or partially vaccinated individuals wear a mask while indoors or when within 6 feet of anyone not in their household group, including the volunteers. Waivers will be required to be signed either online or in person upon arrival. If you or anyone in your household is experiencing symptoms associated with COVID-19 (cough, difficulty breathing, fever, chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, or new loss of taste/smell, etc.) do not attend this program.
