Timber Trail Reroute Work Day - Meet at the Dixon Reservoir Parking Lot of Pineridge Natural Area, off of Hwy 42C. Come work with the Trails and Visitor Amenities team to help us accomplish our Timber Trail Reroute. If you can't show up at 2, come whenever you can! If you sign up, directions on where to meet us will be e-mailed out to you. There is also a PDF with directions at the bottom of this description. This work will give you a first hand experience on what it is like finishing tread behind a machine, integration of rock tread and features into the trail corridor and hardening the trails drainage points to allow the trail to remain open and stable for years to come. With this being an active construction zone, you will see all the steps our team takes to construct sustainable trail. This work is for everyone to come out and see, with finishing of tread work by swinging picks and grading the tread surface to rock work that will stabilize the tread surface for years to come, we will have an opportunity for beginners to advanced users alike to feel like they made a lasting impact. Bring: Closed-toe, sturdy shoes; sun protection, and a water bottle!
