Explore one of North America’s rarest animals in this unique opportunity. We will journey together to Soapstone Prairie for a presentation about the black-footed ferret and then we will hike and search for this elusive resident. 1-2 miles; moderate with uneven terrain. Registration is required and participation is limited to protect the animals. Bring snacks, water, closed-toe shoes, warm layers, binoculars and a flashlight. Transportation is provided from Fort Collins up to Soapstone Prairie. Meet at the west parking lot of Fort Collins Senior Center, 1200 Raintree Dr. Look for the large white vans in the west parking lot. Do NOT go to the front entrance of the Senior Center. PLEASE ARRIVE 10 MINUTES EARLY. We will leave right at the program start time.

I am a Public Engagement Specialist with the City of Fort Collins Natural Areas and I organize community programs, programs by request and interpretive communications like signs and brochures. I'm excited to be back in Fort Collins again after being gone for 15 years. My favorite things to talk about are conservation issues, conservation research and raptors!! Charlotte Norville has spent the last 15 years in volunteer management, public engagement, and communications. She worked for the City of Fort Collins for 10 years, at the Gardens on Spring Creek, FC Volunteer program, and Natural Areas. She is a Certified Volunteer Administrator, Certified Interpretive Trainer, and IAP2 professional. Charlotte currently works for Squarei Technologies, where she is a Product Specialist for Offero (Engage).
