Pollinator gardening has become increasing popular and for good reason. Pollinator populations are declining and gardens provide critical habitat in urban areas. This class will highlight best practices for pollinator-friendly landscaping. We will explore the importance of native plants, habitat diversity, and seasonality in attracting and supporting bees, butterflies, and other vital pollinating species. We will learn about native bees and highlight a few specific plant-insect interactions. Gain practical insights and design techniques to cultivate vibrant gardens that not only look beautiful but also enhance biodiversity.
