Budding Young Naturalists - Mixed Ages

Where: Riverbend Ponds, Meet at the Cairnes Dr. Entrance off of Tiimberline Rd. When: Wednesday, June 22, 9:30a.m. - 11:00a.m. Accessibility: Program takes place on dirt trails. Mostly easy, slightly uneven terrain. Accessible bathroom available at parking lot. Off-road wheelchairs or those with sturdy wheels should be able to navigate the trails. All wheelchairs can navigate accessible fishing pier. Hike will be up to 1 mile; easy. If you have any questions or concerns about the accessibility of a program, please contact [email protected] or call 970-416-2815 for more information. People with disabilities are welcome to participate in all programs and we are happy to make any appropriate accommodations. Requests for disability-related services can be made during registration through the activity contact or by calling 970-416-2815 at least 2 weeks prior to the start of the activity. What to Bring: Dress appropriately for the weather forecast. Bring sunscreen, a hat, closed-toe, sturdy shoes, and plenty of water. You may wish to bring binoculars, if you have them. Program Description: Have you ever been frustrated by no seeing wildlife on a hike? Use the SLOW method to increase your changes of seeing nature's creatures on your next hike. Chances are they are hiding right under your nose! This hike is family friendly.
