The Natural Areas Department is looking for volunteers for our Club Outdoors program. The Club Outdoors mission is to inspire the next generation of environmental stewards by offering a variety of outdoor experiences, while incorporating tools for mental health wellness to the community of underserved youth at the Boys & Girls Club of Larimer County. We are now entering our sixth year of Club Outdoors. We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers that love working with youth. We will be working with 4th - 8th grade students. We will be working with two clubs - Fort Collins Boys and Girls Club (Tuesdays) and Harmony Boys and Girls Club (Thursdays). There will be two sessions, one in June and one in July. Please see the NAD activity calendar to sign up for volunteer slots for specific Club Outdoor dates. Volunteers are required to attend this orientation in order to volunteer for Club Outdoors.
Registration is not required for this activity, but by clicking "sign up" you will receive a reminder and updates about this program.
Thank you Fort Collins and Larimer County voters! Your support of citizen-initiated sales taxes makes land conservation and educational activities like this possible.

CancelHi everyone, I'm Lauren! I'm rejoining the Natural Areas team as an environmental education specialist for the 2023 season, after being a public engagement assistant during Summer 2022. I love spending time outside, reading, and meeting new people. I look forward to working with all volunteers! Please reach out to me if you have any questions! :)
My husband and I have raised our five daughters in the FoCo community - enjoying countless library, museum, and outdoor adventures. As a home-schooler, teacher, traveler, and now a volunteer with FoCoMoD and the Natural Areas, I enjoy maintaining an enthusiastic curiosity and love of the world around me.
