When: Thursday, August 14th, 7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Where: Meet at the Kingfisher Point parking lot off of Timberline Road at 7:00 p.m. Extra parking can be found at the Natural Areas' NIX Farm campus (1745 Hoffman Mill Road). Note that if you park at the NIX campus, allow roughly 10 mins to walk down the service road to the Kingfisher Point parking lot. Program Description: Join Natural Areas planner Jenny Roberts and wildlife and bat biologist Kirk Navo for an evening of exploring the fascinating world of bats! Discover bat behaviors, unique abilities, biology, and how they are monitored across the country and in Fort Collins. Learn about white nose syndrome, and what you can do to help keep local bat populations healthy. Gadwall Ponds in Kingfisher Point Natural Area is a great location to watch bats fly in the early evening - join us to see for yourself! Accessibility: Program includes walking out and back, roughly 1.5 miles on both paved and unpaved trails.
