Bobcat Ridge Natural Area
Natural Discoveries (Community Program)
Where: Bobcat Ridge Natural Area. Meet in the parking lot. Activity Description: Bobcat Ridge NA provides a local window on the natural world of our Rocky Mountain ecosystems and Spring provides the peak of the wildflower season. In addition to the many wildflowers to be seen, wildlife, geology and history all play roles in making this the premier hiking location for our Fort Collins residents. Join naturalist Rob Pickett for this relatively easy 4-mile hike along the Valley Loop trail and learn about your native environment. Accessibility: Program takes place outside and along an unpaved 3.7 mile trail. If you have any questions or concerns about the accessibility of a program, please contact [email protected] or call 970-416-2815 for more information. People with disabilities are welcome to participate in all programs and we are happy to make any appropriate accommodations. Requests for disability-related services can be made during registration through the activity contact or by calling 970-416-2815 at least 2 weeks prior to the start of the activity. What to Bring: Dress appropriately for the weather forecast. Bring sunscreen, a hat if you want one, closed-toe, sturdy shoes for outdoor walking in possible snowy and muddy conditions, and plenty of water.
