AJ C - Staff/Trainers
I am a Public Engagement Specialist with the City of Fort Collins Natural Areas and I organize school field trips, stewardship projects, and coordinate our fabulous volunteers! Working with over 400 regular volunteers is one of the best parts of my job. I enjoy bird watching, trail running, and spending time in our natural areas with my family.
Bill W - Volunteer Naturalist
I have been a volunteer naturalist since early 2023. My special interests include prairie dogs, photographing people in nature, diversity and access. My wife Barbara and I moved to Fort Collins in 2019 from Dallas. My volunteer work in Texas included service as a Texas Master Naturalist, 15 years as a Boy Scout leader and numerous medical projects as a physician. We come from Canada originally but moved often as a Service brat and later serving as a medical officer. We have 4 dogs.
Georgia W - Volunteer Naturalist
I'm a retired teacher with 44 years classroom experience. I love working with young people and supporting my community. For 15 years I also served on the Big Thompson Canyon Volunteer FD as a wild land and structure firefighter and member of the Rope Rescue Team. For the past decade since retiring, I have been organizing and leading international tours.I live in a log home on Storm Mountain with my Bernese Mountain Dog, Murren. My four grandchildren enjoy hanging out in the hills with "Gram."
