Sustainable Landscape Series: Xeriscaping 101

This class will provide an overview of xeriscaping and low water landscaping for beginners including site assessment, tips for designing, lawn removal, irrigation considerations, installation, maintenance and weed control. You will learn how to choose plants based on your site’s drainage, soil type, sun exposure, and microclimates. Michael Auciello, Integrated Pest Management Specialist from the Natural Areas Department will be present to answer questions related to weed control.
