Where: Pineridge Natural Area, meet in the parking lot off of Road 42C, above Dixon Reservoir When: Thursday, April 13, 5:00p.m. - 6:30p.m. Program Description: Beginning with a brief overview of track identification, we’ll delve into the four-legged gaits of an animal and what tracks can tell us about how the animal was moving. Was it running? Walking? Stopping often? Using the power of group observation, we’ll go exploring in search of tracks of mammals, birds and reptiles along the shoreline trail. We’ll use our newly acquired examination skills and trained senses - along with our imaginations - to recreate the story of the animal who left behind their tracks. Accessibility: Program takes place on uneven dirt trails. There is a steep descent to the shore of the reservoir included in this program. Program is appropriate for adults, teens, and children 10 and older. If you have any questions or concerns about the accessibility of a program, please contact naturalareas@fcgov.com or call 970-416-2815 for more information. People with disabilities are welcome to participate in all programs and we are happy to make any appropriate accommodations. Requests for disability-related services can be made during registration through the activity contact or by calling 970-416-2815 at least 2 weeks prior to the start of the activity.
