Thank you for registering for the Lettuce Ride on Sunday, October 4th! This will be a family-friendly community ride starting at Tailwinds Park. Along the way, we’ll explore some of the City’s newest bike infrastructure, including the Siphon Overpass and Mail Creek Trail. Our destination is the shopping center at East Harmony Road and South Lemay Avenue. The area has restaurants, shops, a hardware store, a bike shop and other services. The route is just under 3 miles each way, or about 6 miles round trip. We’ll use shared-use paths and low-stress streets and ride at a relaxed pace, staying together as a group. Ride support will be available for minor mechanical problems and flat tires. Staff will also have cargo bikes and can carry purchases if needed. Please bring a working bike, helmet, sunscreen and water. If you plan to drive to the event, parking is available at Tailwinds Park. Need a bike or helmet? The City can provide them for participants who need to borrow one. Please contact the activity organizer at least two weeks before the event so staff have time to prepare.
