Fence Removal & Boundary Marking  - Coyote Ridge Natural Area

Wednesday, 25 September 2019 @ 08:30 AM to 03:30 PM

Stewardship for Long Term Volunteers

The Natural Areas Department acquired a new property just west of Coyote Ridge. Our first step in turning this agricultural property into a natural area is to make it wildlife friendly. Volunteers will work to remove about 1,000 ft of barbed wire fence as well as remove t-posts along the way (t-post removers and wire winders will be available). We will also work with Rangers to mark the boundary of the new natural area. Take advantage of stepping into a natural area that is not yet open to the public! Things to note before signing up: 1) We will be carpooling in together 2) There will be little to no shade on the property 3) We will be moving along the fence in uneven terrain - but moving slowly 4) All safety and working materials + lunch will be provided More details to come for those that sign up. Please send any questions my way at [email protected] or 970-224-6153. Thanks! Diane
