You probably know that kids who spend more time outside have greater attention spans, are more creative, and tend to be healthier. Sometimes it’s harder than it sounds to get kids outside. In the Natural Areas Family Nature Club you’ll meet other families with similar interests and challenges. We’ll visit different natural areas each month and discover fun family activities and resources. Monthly commitment encouraged but not required. Plan to be outside in all weather, get dirty, and have fun! Parents must actively participate in all sessions. For families with children 12 and under. Space is limited, registration required. Meets year-round.
Maximum Participants: 20Registration is required for this activity. Click "register" to reserve your spot.
Thank you Fort Collins and Larimer County voters! Your support of citizen-initiated sales taxes makes land conservation and educational activities like this possible.

CancelI hike, snowshoe, go birding, cross-country ski, bicycle, etc.and have been doing so for the 43 years that I have lived in Ft.Collins as ways to immerse myself in the natural beauty that surrounds us in the prairies, foothills, mountains, dark skies, rivers, etc. I enjoy capturing the beauty through my love of photography. I had the opportunity to serve on FTCCity Council when the Natural Areas program was evolving. So thankful that we continue to support funding for it!!
I have been a Volunteer Coordinator and Educator for over 20 years.
