Natural Discoveries - Adult

Where: Gateway Natural Area, parking will be free for those who attend the program. Meet near Picnic Shelter A to get your parking pass. When: June 25, 9:00a.m. - 11:30a.m. Accessibility: Program takes place on steep, uneven dirt trails with 430ft. of elevation gain over 1.5 miles. Accessible bathrooms available at Gateway parking area, but trail is not accessible. No cell service at this location. People with disabilities are welcome to participate in all programs and we are happy to make any appropriate accommodations. Requests for disability-related services can be made during registration through the activity contact or by calling 970-416-2815 at least 2 weeks prior to the start of the activity. What to Bring: Dress appropriately for the weather forecast. Bring sunscreen, a hat, closed-toe, sturdy shoes, and plenty of water. You may wish to bring walking sticks if you are unaccustomed to steep terrain. Program Description: Discover Colorado's origins as pieced together by geologists using the theory of plate tectonics and evidence along the Black Powder Trail.
