In-Classroom Bike Class - 15 +

Get a free patch kit and tire levers when you attend this clinic! Topics in this clinic – How do you fix a flat tire or change a tube? How much air do you put in? Reading tire and tube packaging/sizes. Patching your tubes, which is both a money saver and a good roadside skill. In this basics clinic, you will get hands-on experience with bicycles, parts, and tools to help you become a more comfortable bicycle owner and operator. Unlike an automobile, home bicycle maintenance can be much more approachable, and instructors are excited to pass on their experience to you! The clinic is intended to allow plenty of time for questions and hands-on experience(s). The target bike types for this workshop are the more traditional bicycles which you’d be likely to use for inexpensive transportation – rim brakes (not disc), non-electric, old mountain bikes, vintage bikes, and so on. Knowledge required before you attend: No requirements. Location: Within 1-block of City Hall (Old Town) What to Bring: 1. Your bike (optional) (or some photos of it) 2. Headlamp (optional, to provide better personal lighting) 3. Clothes that can get dirty and warm enough for a heated garage/warehouse 4. Reading glasses for seeing fine detail 5. Wear closed-toe shoes
