Natural Discoveries - Mixed Ages

Where: Poudre Trail. Park at the tennis courts at Lee Martinez Park and follow the paved trail west until you come to a small beach on the north side of the trail. When: Wednesday, July 13, 9:00a.m. - 9:30a.m. Session #1 Accessibility: Program takes place almost entirely on a paved bike trail easily accessible to any mobility devices. Up to 1 mile, round trip. Bathrooms available near the Lee Martinez Park playground. People with disabilities are welcome to participate in all programs and we are happy to make any appropriate accommodations. Requests for disability-related services can be made during registration through the activity contact or by calling 970-416-2815 at least 2 weeks prior to the start of the activity. What to Bring: Dress appropriately for the weather forecast. Bring sunscreen; a hat; closed-toe, sturdy shoes; and water to drink. This program takes place in the river, so bug repellent or long sleeves are highly suggested. Bring water shoes and towels for river fun! Waders will be available at the program site. Program Description: All ages welcome! Use dip nets and collecting trays to discover what lives beneath the surface of the Cache la Poudre River. Biologists will be on hand to help identify your finds. All dip netting equipment is provided.
