Budding Young Naturalists - 8-12 years

Become a Junior Naturalist! Explore, learn, and grow your stewardship skills. Attend all programs and receive Junior Naturalist Certification. One program may be substituted by attending another program in this booklet. Parents/guardians must be present at all times. Siblings are welcome but the activities will be geared towards the stated age group. Organized groups should schedule programs at a separate time; contact Alex, Community Educator at 970-416-2043 or [email protected]. The complete list of Junior Naturalist program dates is below. Be sure to register for each one you will attend. This week's adventure is: A Day in the Life of Your Ice-Age Neighbor Come on a journey back in time to learn what it was like to live in this area for the Paleoindians who thrived here during the last Ice Age. What was it like living here more than 10,000 years ago? Come join our expert Master Naturalists as they walk you through the day in the life of your Ice Age neighbors. You’ll begin by reviewing the discoveries made during the Lindenmeier Archaeological study and then whisk back in time to see how people lived, hunted, cooperated, and thrived.
