Volunteer Continuing Education

March Coffee Talk Focus: Connecting Through Passions - Exploring the Intersection of Sparking Discovery and Inclusivity Facilitated by Erandi Herndon, from Inspiro Therapy and Consulting, this workshop aims to empower participants to share their passions with a diverse audience while navigating the complexities of privilege, intersectionality, and inclusive communication. Through engaging activities, this workshop seeks to create a safe and open space for self-reflection and dialogue and promote skills needed to cultivate a sense of belonging and community, while enriching the community through knowledge-sharing. This training is being put on by request of several volunteers who have asked for more trainings related to DEI and making interactions with the community more inclusive. It will take place in the Natural Area's shop building to show off our new projector and speakers and to allow more space for small group discussions.
